Decompression Chambers for
Diving
Decompression chambers are widely used for diver safety during and after deep-sea operations. When diving at depth, nitrogen dissolves into the bloodstream under pressure. If a diver ascends too rapidly, nitrogen bubbles can form in the blood and tissues, potentially leading to decompression sickness commonly known as “the bends.” A decompression chamber provides a controlled, pressurized environment that allows divers to gradually eliminate excess nitrogen, thereby preventing or treating decompression illness effectively.
Our decompression chambers are engineered to simulate the stepwise pressure reduction needed for safe post-dive recovery. These chambers are widely used in commercial diving, underwater rescue, scientific exploration, and military diving operations.
Diving decompression chambers, also referred to as pressurized living chambers, are used in saturation diving, an approach where divers stay under high-pressure conditions for prolonged periods. In this environment, inert gases in the breathing mixture fully saturate the body’s tissues. Between operations, divers remain inside the chamber under the same pressure level, avoiding repeated decompression and resurfacing cycles.
